Travel Information & Maps

Sacramento International Airport is the closest airport to campus and is approximately 25 miles from UC Davis. Travelers should plan on at least a 30 minute commute. The airport has shuttle services and car rentals available.

UC Davis will make every effort to pick up and drop off LAUC travelers at the Sacramento Airport on the day of the meeting. Please let us know on the Registration Form if you prefer this option.

Other Airports:
* Oakland International Airport - Located in Oakland, at least one hour by car from Davis. http://www.flyoakland.com/index2.cfm
* San Francisco International Airport - Located just south of San Francisco, approximately 1-1/2 hours by car from Davis. http://www.san-francisco-sfo.com/

Airport Shuttles:
There are two commercial shuttle services that work out of the Sacramento airport: Super Shuttle, and Davis Airporter. Super Shuttle is the official shuttle provider for the airport and has a booth available at both terminals, although reservations are recommended. If you take Davis Airporter, you must call in advance for reservations. Prices are approximately $20 one way for both shuttle services.

There are a few metered spaces near the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center, but most attendees will need to park in one of the visitor parking lots. Permits for the day are sold by dispensers at the entrance to the South Entry Parking Structure and the closest outdoor lots (Visitor Parking lots 1 and 2), and cost $6.00. Attendees may inquire about UC reciprocity for their local parking permits by contacting Transportation and Parking Services [(530) 752-8277; taps@ucdavis.edu].
