AIR TRAVEL:
Sacramento
International Airport is the closest airport to campus and
is approximately 25 miles from UC Davis. Travelers should
plan on at least a 30 minute commute. The airport has shuttle services
and car
rentals available.
UC Davis will make every effort to pick up and drop off LAUC travelers
at the Sacramento Airport on the day of the meeting. Please let us
know on the Registration
Form if you prefer this option.

* Oakland International Airport - Located in Oakland, at least

Francisco International Airport - Located just south of San Francisco, approximately

Airport Shuttles:
There are two commercial shuttle services that work out of the Sacramento
airport: Super Shuttle, and Davis Airporter. Super Shuttle is the
official shuttle provider for the airport and has a booth available
at both terminals, although reservations are recommended. If you
take Davis Airporter, you must call in advance for reservations.
Prices are approximately $20 one way for both shuttle services.

Taxis:
Taxi service is available at the airport, but can be a very expensive
commute to campus. The cost is typically $2.80 for the first mile,
$2.40 for each additional mile.
Driving from the Sacramento Airport :
Take Interstate 5 South towards Sacramento to Interstate 80 West towards San
Francisco. Exit UC Davis. Turn right onto Old Davis Road. Pass the South
Gate Information Kiosk, continue straight to go to the Alumni Center Building,
or turn right to go to the South Entry parking structure or lot (more parking
information below). The Walter A. Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center is across
the street from the Mondavi
Center.
Public Transportation:
Yolobus offers daily
public bus service to the airport and connection to Regional Transit.
The bus has stops at the Memorial Union bus terminal at UC Davis.

BY CAR:
Driving east on Interstate 80 from the San Francisco
Bay Area or driving west on I-80 from Sacramento, take the UC Davis
exit onto Old Davis Road to the campus. Pass the South
Gate Information Kiosk, continue straight to go to the Alumni & Visitor
Center Building, or turn right to enter
the South Entry parking structure or parking lot (Visitor Parking
Lot 2). The Walter A. Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center is across
the street from the
Mondavi
Center. You will see some construction work shortly before the
parking garage.

PARKING:
There are a few metered spaces near the Buehler Alumni
and Visitors Center, but most attendees will need to park in one
of the visitor parking lots. Permits for the day are sold by dispensers
at the entrance to the South Entry Parking Structure and the closest
outdoor lots (Visitor Parking lots 1 and 2), and cost $6.00. Attendees
may inquire about UC reciprocity for their local parking permits
by contacting Transportation and Parking Services [(530) 752-8277;

BY TRAIN:
There is an Amtrak station close to campus in Davis,
at 840 2nd Street. The station is located downtown, and visitors
can expect a 20-30 minute walk to Buehler Alumni Center from this
location. Unitrans offers
bus service to and from the Amtrak station on the A line, which drops
off at Shields Library on campus.
