The Committee reviewed 14 salary action packets and prepared recommendations for the University Librarian and the Dean of the School of Law.  The board reviewed four recommendations for acceleration and four for promotions.  In addition, the Committee reviewed seven appointments – five for potential career status and two temporary appointments.

  1. Issues that arose.

CAPA had a discussion about how a candidate’s file is affected by the acquisition of an advanced degree.

CAPA had a discussion about the role of fundraising in an individual’s responsibilities.  Is it part of an individual’s primary responsibilities or university service?  This is a newly developing area of activity without a clear definition of the role.
